why don't new tabs put focus in url as before ?

yesterday, i click on new tab and the tab page comes up with the focus in the URL bar highlighter and all i gotta do is type the address i want to search or go to today the focus winds up with the cursor at the end of the address in the URL bar .... NO GOOD!

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Sure ... Safe mode changed the behavior such that i could immediately type in an address or search but since I use an add-in called "newtabhomepage 0.4.3", i immediately restarted in regular mode to see if the problem had been solved and wala, all is back to what i was used to again.

So, going to safe and then back again fixed the problem all by itself but didn't tell me why ...

Sometimes 'why' is just unobtainable, eh? hahaha
