when i click on about firefox i see funnelcake september 2015
ok so i re installed my windows 10 build and i downloaded firefox and now when i check the about firefox tab to check for updates i see the version 40.0.3 and under that i see funnelcake september 2015 and under that i see mozilla 42- 1.0 , what is this ive never seen this before

Any chance your "toured" the server and "cherry picked" a Firefox installer to download from the server? Like one of these. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ or https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/
i went on bing with microsoft edge and i clicked on the first site that came up wich should be that first link u put up there , and here is the image
