I have a similar problem to one who asked about redirecting getting blocked. However, I do not get logged off -- just have to wait interminably for nothing.... And, yes, the sites that are getting blocked are my bank, credit cards, e-mail server, ISP, and just about every important (and trusted) site. And just about every one of the important sites redirects when I log on! I did go to the ADVANCE section in OPTIONS, and searched under GENERAL: the ACCESSIBILITY section had nothing checked. In any case, there is no option to stop the blocking. There is only an option to CHECK the box to indicate that you WANT Firefox to warn you when a website is trying to redirect. Well, I never put a check-mark there, and it was blank when i checked (no pun or confusion intended. :)) -- but the various sites were still getting blocked. So back to my question: how do I get Firefox to stop blocking these sites when they redirect, without my having to notice that there is an added line which gives me an option to "allow" while i am in the middle of making some transaction and find this very annoying? Thank you sincerely for your help!

BTW: I am using a Pavilion notebook, with Windows 7 (tried Windows 10 and did not care for it).

hi, what is the exact error message you're seeing on such sites?

Hi philipp;

Strange, but after getting your question I went back to see, and the block did not appear again. (On 3 sites where it used to every time.) Possibly when I went to the Accessibility I checked and unchecked the box; also, since I refreshed Firefox around the same time, that might have helped. In any case, at the moment it seems the problem is no longer there. I do thank you for responding so promptly!

[BTW, the message was on the left in a line right under the menu lines, saying something like: "Firefox prevented this site from redirecting" -- I can't remember the exact wording -- and on the right was a small click-box that said "allow" and a close button. I do not see that line any more...]

yes, the issue you were describing does exactly sound like the "warning" option being switched on in the accessibility section. glad that your issue appears to be fixed now!

Cor-el and philipp, I thank you both, and I am glad the problem seems to have resolved itself. Should it recur (though I hope not), I will revive the question with the appropriate screen shots..
