I am on a Mac and running Firefox 42.0 for web browsing needs. Our company uses Oracle EBS Suite for a variety of business functions, including recruitment/hiring. When I try to open a resume that someone has uploaded as a .doc or .docx, Firefox does not give me the option of simply opening the document in Word. It forces me to save the document someplace before I can the navigate to it and open it in Word. I have gone into the preferences and in every instance where Word is mentioned, or .doc or .docx files are mentioned, I have changed the preferences to say "always open in word", but I continue to have this problem of being forced to save it first. I can't figure out why this is happening, any help is appreciated.
