Tried to send email with 25 mail addresses and about 300 character message and no attachments through a Comcast Server. Received the following error message:

The size of the message you are trying to send exceeds a temporary size limit of the server. The message was not sent; try to reduce the message size or wait some time and try again. The server responded: 4.1.1 ... temporary failure.

I have sent the same message in the past. I am also able to send other messages with a small address list. I have retyped the address list a couple times.

This limit is imposed by your provider.

Some providers limits are cumulative. So if you send lots of small messages you still get in limit trouble. Since the message came from your providers server they are the ones to ask.

I went to Comcast before I posted my message. They indicated that they had a 99 addressee limit and a 25 MB limit on size. Comcast suggested that I talk to my client support group. They also suggested that it might be a setting problem.

Then have them explain why THEIR server rejected it.

Thunderbird does not set limits.
