My home page/newtab url set to 'https://www.google.co.uk' about:config settings are also 'https://www.google.co.uk' This is second time this has happened in past couple of years. I cannot remember how I resolved it last time and nothing on web works. I do not want to install adware removal software. I am in UK using Windows 7 Home Premium, Firefox 47, How do i get rid of this. Your help would be greatly appreciated

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>)<Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove Google Anything. Now do the same in the computers Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
