Hi, Firefox won't let me connect to my own brand new Dlink router. Chrome, Opera and Edge there is no problem, but with Firefox I cannot find a way to add an exception to allow it. Here is the error message:

"An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.10.1. SSL received a weak ephemeral Diffie-Hellman key in Server Key Exchange handshake message. Error code: SSL_ERROR_WEAK_SERVER_EPHEMERAL_DH_KEY The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem"

Is there any easy way around this problem? Thanks

hi, please get in contact with d-link's support to inquire if they provide a firmware-update that could address this problem.

firefox will only display this error message if a webserver uses weak encryption standards (similar to what got exploited in the "logjam" attack - https://threatpost.com/mozilla-reduce.../121034/).

Thanks for your reply, but every other browser has no problem with it, (or at least allows the option to make an exception). Only Firefox makes things difficult.

Sadly I think it's time to give up on Firefox after using it since it was first released. It's not the first time I have been forced to use another browser because of this kind of thing. I find the inability to make an exception unacceptable when one *knows* a page is safe.

Searching Mozilla support, I have found many other responses similar to yours to other issues similar to this one. Whatever happened to Mozilla? It's become arrogant, unhelpful and less relevant to the real world. Thanks anyway.

i am sorry that you found my reply arrogant or unhelpful, but it does solve the issue in some cases: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=63408.0 without knowing your type of router it's not possible to give more targeted advice...

Similar problem here, but with Linksys WRT120N Home Wireless Router. Input username and password rejected every time even though I know that they are correct. Tried numerous fixes suggested by manufacturer technical support team, but all failed. Fortunately, the setup page is still accessible using Chrome, both on the same desktop and other mobile devices.

Using another browser is the solution, I guess. I've moved to Chrome and Opera lately and haven't looked back since.

Resolved as WONTFIX. Recommended "workaround" shown in the "whiteboard" of that Bug report is this extension. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disable-dhe/

Thanks for your help, the-edmeister! After a brief reading I am however not too sure about the degree of relevance that "bug" has to my problem at hand, mostly because the content in the post is a bit too technical to me.

I would tread carefully as after all the issue is not mission-critical, and I still have Chrome to fall back on (for now) if necessary.

Thank you all the same!

Jesco, I wish the decision on choosing a browser can be based on only one factor. I still prefer desktop Firefox for its UI, option settings granularity, password management, and perhaps most importantly, my emotional attachment to it.

I have no problem using Chrome on my mobile devices, though.
