I am new to Thunderbird (v. 52.1.1). I am also using the Signature Switch add-on. My signatures work fine in a new e-mail, but do not behave as instructed when replying or forwarding. They continue to post below the sender's message instead of following my reply at the top. I have set my signature below my reply (above quote) in Composition @ Addressing under Account Settings. The Config Editor for "mail.identity.id1.sig_bottom" was already set to false for all id's. I've read it all, done it all, and still no success.

According to the Reviews, it seems to be a problem with the add-on, which is not verified beyond TB 45. However, the author also recommends that you not try to place your signature above the quoted text.

Although it wasn't the positive answer I was hoping for, thanks for the explanation. I REALLY wish I could go back to Windows Live Mail, which I had before a total crash and subsequent new computer. I was extremely happy with that e-mail client, but alas, it is no longer an option.

It's not what I would recommend, but you can install WLM in Windows 10 and set up your IMAP or POP accounts, even Hotmail/outlook.com accounts, as long as you use the manual configuration.
