To stop gah tab crashes in Firefox 57 (quantum) I had to disabled the multi-process function, but is there a fix?
After installing FF57, I got gah tab crashed for every tab continuously. I found a thread that said to set to false browser.tabs.remote.autostart and browser.tabs.remote.autostart,2 in about:config. I did this, restated the browser and the gah tab crashes stopped. My question is if the multi-processing is disabled am I getting full speed and stability from the new browser, and if not what needs to be done so I can use multi-processing?

Fixed...for my computer config anyway. Sandboxie was part of the problem. Sound in youtube now works, no more gah tab crashes, and multi-process windows shows enabled by user Here are my current settings: security.sandbox.content.level reset to 2 browser.tabs.remote.autostart set at true browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 set at false accessibility.loadedInLastSession preference set at false. references: https://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=131099#p131099 https://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=130611#p130611 https://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=25095&p=131140#p131140 https://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=130611#p130611 https://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/search.php?keywords=security.sandbox.content.level https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/re-enable-multi-process-disabled-windows-utilities

Furthermore, if I set both browser.tabs.remote.autostart and browser.tabs.remote.autostart,2 to true I get no sound on youtube videos in FF57
hi, i'd guess sandboxie could adversely impact the new multi-process architecture in firefox...
I had the same suspicion, so I posted it on the Sandboxie forum and am awaiting a response.
