How can I sync Firefox on my computers LOCALLY - I do NOT want an account.
I have five computers and want to sync the Firefox bookmarks for all of them, but I am one of those hold-outs who refuses to set up accounts or use any cloud type offerings. Thus I want a way to locally sync my machines, even if need to use sneaker net. Any ideas besides get over it and set up accounts? Ain't happening!

Firefox doesn't have a built-in feature to de-duplicate bookmarks after an import, so you might need to find some intermediary program or add-on to handle it. (The add-ons I've seen would require you to make too many decisions making.)
To really "synchronize" Firefox user data using what's built into Firefox, and running your own server, see these documents about Sync.
https://mozilla-services.readthedocs.io/en/latest/howtos/run-sync.html And this is about the latest version of Sync - version 1.5 . https://mozilla-services.readthedocs.io/en/latest/howtos/run-sync-1.5.html
You'll need to set up your own server for Sync on one of those local devices.
Plus you'll need to use a Firefox Accounts server. Either set up locally or use the Mozilla Firefox Accounts server while having you own Sync server. https://mozilla-services.readthedocs.io/en/latest/howtos/run-fxa.html
If there were a way to get Firefox bookmarks and settings out of Firefox format and into any compatible format - for say a database file, one could sort on URL and then do a merge before restoring the resulting database back into Firefox. That would certainly facilitate syncing locally - which changes the question to if there exists anything (program, filter or simply knowledge) to convert out of and then back into the Firefox format.
