I'm having trouble with the search within a page function, specifically when using Drupal. I'll use the search-within function (first Ctrl+F and then Ctrl+G) to navigate through the HTML side of our content management system, looking for errors, and the search bar will tell me I'm on 3 of 11 of what I'm looking for, but Ctrl+G will not navigate to the next occurrence. This started a couple of days ago and is happening on both my PC (running Firefox Quantum 58.0.1) and my Macbook at home.

Is Drupal part of FF?

I think so, but I don't know exactly what you mean.

Drupal is a content management system you can install into a website, like WordPress or Joomla. It provides rich text editing tools to update the site directly without having to upload/download edits.

Does it cycle back to the first match?

I wonder if it's related to this problem: Search in page (CTRL+F) not working correctly. In that case, some matches are skipped as you move through text in a textarea control (multi-line edit control).

I'm not aware of a workaround at the moment.

I'm pretty sure it's only finding those occurrences that are visible on the page at the time I'm doing the search. If I scroll down or scroll right, it will find more results, but I haven't had to do that in the past.

Yep, sorry, it's a bug in Firefox 58.

If this is a critical problem for your work, you could install the current beta test version of Firefox 59, where this is fixed. But beta versions can have new issues that are equally problematic...

Looking at your screenshot again:

I do think it's odd that the text doesn't wrap in that editing control. Is their source view always like that, or is there some special formatting on that document?

Does the button that looks like full screen help with this issue? I realize it may be less useful in other ways.

Yes, the text wrap (of lack thereof) has always been that way. Did you mean the maximize button over on the right? I tried that and it didn't resolve the issue.

Hmm, when I try the Source button on the sample page here:

https://sdk.ckeditor.com/samples/sourcearea.html

the source view wraps.

I suspect we could induce the editor on your site to wrap using a style rule injected into the page, as in this ancient thread:

https://www.drupal.org/project/ckeditor/issues/1489340

If you don't have access to change the style rules on the site, you might be able to use an add-on to apply the style change.

This is hard to set up without hands on, unfortunately.
