I am switching to Windows because a very expensive MacBook Pro failed after 5 years and there are no more parts available to fix it. Therefore I am not going to spend a lot of money on any computer as all electronics today are not built to last. I have lots of local "On My Mac" email folders with lots of emails. Thunderbird for Mac (latest download) does not work. I select Tools, then Import, then Apple Mail and get message that no Apple Mail was found. You import tool doesn't even give me an option to choose where the Apple Mail Folders are located. I tried all suggestions in "Your Community of Users" and no method suggested, worked. I know that once I can import my email folders in to Thunderbird (for Mac) I can easily transfer my profile to Thunderbird for Windows.
