I have always used Firefox here at work. A few days ago, when I would click the icon, it would just spin and not load. I haven't been able to get it to load since. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still just spins and doesn't connect. Can you please help me get back on to Firefox?

What's your computer system and Firefox version?

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

I've spent an hour trying to follow the instructions above. I can't find where to remove Firefox from my program's list of trusted or recognized programs.

Open the firewall program. It might be the Windows Firewall and/or an installed program.
