How do i restore tabs from the session previous to the previous session?
Hi there I had a Firefox session of 30 tabs open this morning, some running for several weeks. When restarting I opened the main home page plus a page about darts (which i dont even like) - and accidentally closed it again before restoring the session.
Upon reopening and attempting the usual 'restore previous session' it now thinks the previous session is the one with just the homepage and the darts story - not my orignial 30 tabs.
How do I restore the 30 tabs!? Surely there must be a way. I'm not very firefox savy so haven't tried renaming files etc.
Please help F

If you open FF and closed without restoring the previous session they are gone. I know this because I done with and without checking the boxes in History settings. So if you didn't do a Restore Previous sessions in the FF History tabs option then they are gone and you will have to find them in the history and open one at a time to get them back. This is assuming your settings doesn't delete the history when you close FF.
You can try to check if there is a previous version of sessionstore.jsonlz4 available as part of a Windows system restore point.
Do not use System Restore, but use this utility.

Windows 10. FF 59. I failed to click on session restore after a crash and lost the tabs. I could not find the sessionrestore file.
And the Recently Closed Tabs and Windows options were greyed out.
I thought that the tabs are synced. Are they not recoverable?
Regarding cor-el's suggestions: 1) That refers to a full system restore. Is that not OTT? Plus I discovered that although "system protection" was turned on there was no restore point, so could not go back a day.
2) I don't understand the "scrounger" thingy.
Many of the tabs were in place for months or more, so going through history looking for them one by one would be a huge job.
Any chance of restoring my (dozens of) tabs?
No, if you use a utility to browse restore points then then can choose ot only restore one or more specific files.
Like I posted above, you can look at an utility to browse System Restore points.
