I've seen all the support stuff, but it's all nonsense.

The history tab DOES NOT show a date and time.

In History, I can select View->By Date or View->By Date and site. No date and time shows up. I can press Ctrl+Shift+H, Views->Show Columns->Most Recent Visit. No date and time shows up.

This seems really rudimentary. If it's possible, it's so buried as to be useless, and it's not obvious.

In the history sidebar you only see the title of the website and not other properties like the last visit date. The Library should show this data when you enable the Most Recent Visit column.

If that isn't working then the places.sqlite database might be corrupted.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

  • use "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page

If "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page cannot repair places.sqlite then remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder. Firefox will rebuild places.sqlite and restore the bookmarks from a recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
