Firefox crashes and only sent the report once out of 12 crashes. Report ID: f798897d-b8f9-4b44-b929-f44b60180510 was sent but I have no idea how to read it or use it to fix my problem. And this report page is different than the description with no way to post the actual report.

hi, such crashes are often caused by bad memory. you could try to use a tool like www.memtest.org in order to check the integrity if your RAM modules.

Sorry to hear about the crashes, and thank you for the report ID:

I agree, they are difficult to interpret. And it's especially difficult if you don't have enough reports to establish a pattern.

This report mentions a problem in the "JIT" which is the JavaScript compiler. I can't tell whether this is triggered by a particular page Firefox is loading, or some other issue.

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode?

In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates the JavaScript compilers, extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.)

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?
