Hello, to keept it short:

Whenever I play songs on the Spotify Web Player with Firefox, I get some weird squeaking noises or distortions, which can be heard through out the song. This sound occurs especially when high frequencies are being played (for example when a cymbal is being hit).

I cleared the cache, history and even completely uninstalled and reinstalled the browser but the problem never got solved. I have the latest version of Firefox.

The issue only occurs with the Firefox Browser. I tried several other browsers and none of them have those issues.

Hi, separate issue but maybe not. I notice a large amount of Video Card Drivers (sound also) in the Windows Repository for your adapterDescription: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB driverDate: 7-30-2018 (possible update as have seen it is available)

Please Search for Device Manager and check the drivers out that are being used to make sure Microsoft has not replaced them. https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/

Also of note is your other Video Card : adapterDescription2: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 driverDate2: 7-10-2015 should be kept up to date. Some systems will use the lesser card when sleeping. So while in Device Manager you can look it up after or try using this : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

If nothing helps please Test : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Performance > Uncheck to view)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected
