This problem only occurs on my PC I can configure this account fine using my wifes PC

I still have the problem even if I disable my firewall and AV Thunderbird version is 52.9.1 (32-bit)

The problem only affects incoming connections for the IMAP and POP3 ports and only for the Secure settings The insecure ones are fine as well as the secure outgoing connections

ie for Server: atom.ecohosting.co.uk IMAP Port 993 or POP3 Port 995 SSL/TLS Normal password I get the message Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account

Many thanks

I have already tried a Manual Config because the default settings provided by TB pointed me to the Insecure server I then had to amend these to the secure address See attatched images

I have managed to resolve this issue by creating a new profile with a test email account. The problem I have now is to be able to import all my other non email accounts in my live profile into the new profile Any ideas please
