View size of multiple selected emails?

When I select multiple files in a graphical file manager (no matter what OS) usually I see the total file size in the status bar of that file manager.

Can I do this similarly with Thunderbird, by selecting several emails and seeing their cumulated total size?

If not, is there a bugzilla feature request already filed for this?

Thunderbird is not a file manager. So perhaps your expectation might be somewhat colored by that view. Nor does Thunderird store individual emails in an individual file.

If not, is there a bugzilla feature request already filed for this?

Perhaps you could look. Why ask other users to search for things you want to know.

You can display the size of individual messages by enabling the Size column in the Threads Pane, or show the size of all messages in a folder by enabling the Size column with View/Layout/Folder Pane Columns checked.
