email links in Thunderbird no longer work
I have a similar. but not identical issue email link issue; since last two Firefox updates, clicking on email links evoke the error message: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." and prompts me to close Firefox or quit. How do I fix this?

The Firefox that is already open, how was it opened? Was a shortcut used?
