google images search not working from search bar
The optional search bar where you can choose your search services (google, wikipedia, youtube, duckduckgo etc): The search bar works for google but not for google images. Instead of results I get a 404 page and the url seems to be coming out wrong which may be the problem(?): https://images.google.com/images?q=fox&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls={moz:distributionID}:{moz:locale}:{moz:official} And the 404 error reads "images not found on this server" but it worked before, and this just started happening today. This was for a search for "fox". (As an example, in the url given above) Again, search bar works for google (regular), wikipedia. duckduckgo etc, just not for google images search . LATEST FIREFOX

Is this a custom search engine you installed yourself as I'm not aware of a builtin Google Image search engine?
If you installed this search engine then it might be broken.
At the top of Firefox if you click CUSTOMIZE, you can put things like Refresh, Private, Bookmarks, sidebars, history etc. One of the options is a search bar that offers Google, another is Google Images, others are Wikipedia, amazon, youtube, etc.
I chose Google images and have used it for a long time in that search bar. now it doesn't work any more,
I get a 404 every time I try to search via that search bar with Google Images even though obviously Google Images works, but not the link from that search bar. But it used to work fine.
There is no option I can find to change the url to https://images.google.com/
Of course this is no big deal, just not as convenient to have to go to google then images. But it used to work just fine, that's the thing...

Enable image search
On the Custom Search home page, click the search engine you want. Click Setup, and then click the Basics tab. In the Image search section, switch image search to ON
Custom Search home page? Not sure what you mean. Where is that?
Also, any idea why it used to work and then just quit?
