Close tabs
Since the new upgrade for Android, tabs are not closed as soon as I close the app. I can't find an option to change this. Does anyone know how to get the tabs closed when I close the app? Thank you.

Thanks , but that doesn't work. Tabs remain open.
Did you click the Quit option?
Yes. It also mentions to remove navigation options and will not close tabs.
It only works when you choose 'close' in the menu and not when you just closw the app.
Hi
Yes, by selecting to clear data on exit, you have to use the exit option in the app to clear the data when you exit.
Thanks. I think it's not user friendly. After pressing the button, you still need to close the app in the app history. So it's now 2 actions where it used to be one.
Besides that, I only see negative reviews on the update. They should do something with it...
Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
Thank you. I really appreciate the help of you and the other volunteers!
I am having the same issue. The new update seems to be lacking a "restore tabs" function. The old one you could deselect "restore tabs upon opening Firefox.". This seems to be missing. I hope Firefox brings this back! It annoys me too. It's also a memory and data usage hog
I went in the settings then privacy and security. There is an option called delete browsing data on quit. When you open that one of the options is to close all tabs when you quit the program so now instead of "x" ing out. I always quit and it closes the tabs.
I don't necessarily want to clear all data (eg history) when I quit firefox. I just want to avoid the clutter and hassle of tabs not closing automatically.
This is the worst idea for a so-called improvement.
