My verizon email account
My mom's email account was set up on Thunderbird for years and all of the sudden, it asked me to enter the password. I did and it would not accept it. I changed the password and tried again. It would not work. I removed the account but save the data and still could not get in. The user name and password work on the AOL Android app. I was able to sign in with no problem. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. I even tried adding the email to my Thunderbird on my computer, and I have the same problem. Please help. Thanks.

Have a thorough read at https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-set-up-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-verizon-net-mail and https://help.aol.com/articles/allow-apps-that-use-less-secure-sign-in then make sure you're using those settings and an app password. The primary password won't work.
I have read through all of that and I still have an issue.
