I'm having trouble switching tabs. I'll try to click on a tab to switch to it and nothing will happen. I'll wait a while and nothing will continue to happen. It tends to be the tab next to the one I'm currently on. If I switch to a different tab further away from the one I want to go to, it sometimes let's me go to whatever one I go to.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
