Archives subfolder don't show / Mails lost? [Beta 85.0b2]
Hello, after archiving several years of emails (in total around 200, some unread, 2017-2020) from one folder, the result does not show in Local Folders > Archives, although it is indicated that there are unread messages in a subfolder. I therefore believe it's a displaying issue rather than they're gone. See the two screenshots, when I expand the folder, second picture. How to access them? The mails in the 2019 folder are from another archiving process. Is this the right channel to report a bug / problem in a beta? cheers

In 'Account settings' > 'Copies & Folders' for the account
Under 'Message Archives' - What is selected ?
eg: 'Other' and 'Archives on Local Folders'
Do you have 'Archiving Options' set up?
What options have you chosen ?
Are you talking about archiving emails that were originally in a POP or IMAP account folder? If IMAP, were you archiving emails that you know had been previously fully downloaded? Imap accounts do have options on what gets fully downloaded or only headers and it can be set on a per folder basis.
As a restart seemed to fix the problem, then it is likely the 'Archives' folder index files just needed to be refreshed.

yes, "keep message archives in" -> "archives folder on local folders". archive options: yearly, and keep existing structure checked. it also does work, but the new made folders only appeared after restart. (although indicated in brackets as in the screenshot) which is no big deal in the end, but confusing because u think your mails are gone.

i think they were fully downloaded! thunderbird was running for some hourse when i tried this. Where do i find the setting for this? afaik everything should automatically download, and as far as i can see it does. in account > synchronization > "keep messages in all folders on this computer" is checked. also all fodlers are selected under advanced.

but then this should be done automatically after archiving, shouldnt it?
