I'm using Thunderbird 86.0b1 (32 bit) on a 64 bit PC If I copy text from a document or web page into Thunderbird the text size is usually very different from the text I was originally writing. I have tried to increase or decrease the imported text size using the “Larger font size” or “Smaller font size icons” but these do not affect the copied text. Does anyone have any suggestion to achieve a uniform font size for existing and copied text?

When you copy paste from a document or web page you are not just copying the text. You are also copying all the html css that has been created and applied in the document and webpage and therefore it is also applied in the email. If you use sfhowes suggestion, then only the text will get pasted.

Thank you sfhowes and Toad-Hall (Ctrl+Shift+V) solved my problem.
