I changed the text size in the menu bars. Now I have lots of wasted space in the bars. HOW CAN I CHANGE THE VERTICAL SIZE OF THE MENUS BARS?

You could try compact mode.

If that doesn't suit you, you can set the heights with userChrome.css. (Note that I have added a blank space below; you need to remove it.)
