Hi, let me see whether I understand:

(1) Recent Bookmarks - list of over 50 still remains after restart.

This list at menu > Bookmarks is generated by a search of your bookmarks using the "Date Added" to determine which are the most recent. It is not a type of history that can be cleared because Firefox will always re-run the search. Currently, there's no built-in way to hide this list, but it is something other users have requested.

Hopefully someone has posted the request at https://connect.mozilla.org/ (in the "Ideas" section of the site). If you find it, you can give it the thumbs up and add any additional details there. Otherwise, you can submit a new idea. Mozilla uses this list to identify new features that would be popular with users.

(2) Update - default of keep passwords.

Automatic updates should keep all your data. Do you lose data when you update?

(3) No notices of changes done after update. Suggest pop up window after updates to readdress or check upgrades.

I know there is a request on the Connect site to show the changes before updates. After updates, you often get a page mentioning some Mozilla news or Firefox-related services with a link to the release notes at the bottom. I'm not sure this is done for the minor updates (for example, 115.0.1, 115.0.2) or only for major updates.
