118 update broke my vpn
vpn plugin on one browser won't connect to internet so i have to stop using it to go anywhere. if i use the vpn for the whole system, using a firefox browser doesn't give me clean connections so i can't get to some sites. any suggestions? do they know about this? i noticed in my settings i am now using a custom setting for tracking and a reinstall of the plugin said it now had to have access to 'private windows' which i've never had to do before. do i need to switch to the chromium browsers? cheers in advance.

Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.
can't do a refresh, possibly as this is a portable version. i will try the plugin on a different firefox browser as i've got 3 going for different purposes. i have work-arounds as i can use the plugin with a different location and vivaldi works fine for europe locations. but thanks for the info and i will do this at some point. cheers!
Are you able to reproduce this problem in normal Firefox (non-portable)?
i have installed libra wolf and i'm starting to think it's my vpn as i had identical issues, but this browser will do europe no problem. didn't realize vivaldi wasn't near as secure. so goodbye chromium stuff. i think i had 3 different things go on that day and firefox update was as suspect as the rest, but it's all ceared up now. cheers for suggestions. case closed.
