I have what i am sure is a common scenario, a work pc (mac) and home pc (linux), and I want to have a work profile and home profile that are independently synced across those PCs. It's no problem to setup sync for the work profile but while setting up sync for the home profile it seems firefox doesn't grok that the home profile already exists and treats it like a new mozilla account. In debugging this issue (and the "Primary account email required for sign-in" issue, which prevented me from signing in at all) i've come across numerous articles that imply this basic home<->home work<->work sync across 2 devices does not work with firefox. Is this the case? this is a basic (IMO mandatory) requirement for a browser in 2024 and even the difficulty of setting this up is super jarring coming from Chrome.
