Context: I'm moving from Outlook to Thunderbird so still adjusting. Bear with me. I prefer to view all incoming messages initially as plain text. I believe this prevents tracking-images and other detritus from coming in with the message. So with Outlook, everything come in plain text; I can change the currently displayed message to HTML when I trust the source and want view it that way. It does NOT affect the other messages. Now, with TB, it ''seems'' that when I choose the View / Message Body As / Original HTML then all messages viewed subsequently are displayed as Original HTML. I've looked around for a little while and don't see the how to default all messages to Plain Text and apply the View-as-Original-HTML to only the currently-displayed message. Is this possible?
