When Firefox is open, the tab on the Windows toolbar disappears
When Firefox 363 is open in Windows, the tab in my Windows toolbar disappears. Firefox is still running, and all the tabs are still open - or sometimes the tab goes away when I minimize the Firefox window. If I try to restart Firefox from an icon, it starts a second session - as if my first session was not running. Only when I close out of all other Windows apps at the end of the day, prior to shutdown, will the original Firefox tab reappear - with all my tabs open. I have found that if I go into Windows Task Manager, I can see the running Firefox app and click on it - and then it reappears. Very annoying - as I can have 5-6 tabs open, and my Firefox simply disappears.

Hello.
Have you tried reinstalling Firefox?
Reloading Firefox did not help. It seems that the toolbar icon in Windows disappears when another pop-up window appears. If you bring the Firefox display forward in Windows (so that it is the chosen window), the toolbar icon reappears.
I meant reinstall, not reload.
I didn't state it clearly - I completely removed Firefox, redownloaded it, and reinstalled it. No difference.
You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in safe mode and select Disable all add-ons. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See this article for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author.
