How do I shut down Firefox completely, every time.
The FF browser will frequently (95%) not completely shut down. I can see it on the Task Manager, yet without CPU activity, after closing FF.
So, I must use the TM to "End Process", before it will re-start. When this is happening, I can see that FF has no CPU activity, until I click on the FF shortcut. When trying to start FF, there is a brief spurt of activity, then none. The memory usage will change with the activity, then stop. I have no idea what to do to avoid this annoying problem. How do I shut down FF completely, every time.

At the same time although "shut down" FF is using 600 MB of memory
The amount of memory Firefox uses, depends largely on what it is doing. Often extensions such as video players may be involved. Once "shut down" Firefox should not be using memory. How do you notice this is it from your XP OS Task Manager ?

It is possible the problem with High Memory usage, and firefox hanging are related. Are these problem on specific sites or when using specific extensions.
