Where is the Firefox Button?
I have installed Firefox 4 and it appears to be working satisfactorily, with one exception. Maybe it is me not being able to find how to show the button?
All the new guidance videos for Firefox 4 show a "Firefox Button" at the extreme top left of the page and explain that clicking on this button will bring up your menu. I do not have that button there. Instead, in the place where the guidance videos show the Firefox Button it has the same description as on the open tab.
I have not been able to find any info in the support area to show me how to get the Firefox Tab there. The correct bar is there at the top of the screen and it has the usual minimise, maximise and close buttons at it's extreme right.
Is someone able to sort this out for me? Thanks

The new interface is only default on Windows Vista and Windows 7. To get it on Windows XP you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.
If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.

You're welcome
The Firefox Button does not show on my laptop with Windows 7. There is also no Bookmark Button on the right side.
I tried deleting Firefox 4.0 and then reinstalling it with the same result.
However, my desktop with Window 7 works correctly with both showing.
Did you hide the Menu Bar?
Hide the Menu Bar to make the orange Firefox button appear.
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.
You can place the Tab Bar on top.
- View > Toolbars : [ ] Menu Bar
- View > Toolbars : [X] Tab onTop
Thanks Cor-el,
I stumbled on the solution before I read your reply. I did your solution slightly differently.
I selected "Tools"and at the bottom right-clicked on "Options". Then in the list I unchecked "Menu Bar".
Thanks again.
Thanks Tony, I worked just like you said.
