Resrore Previous Session does not work in FF6
FF6 does not save tabs, etc. when closed -- unexpectedly or by File==>Exit or by History==>Restore Previous Session (option is greyed out). No "Restore Precious Session" button appears on opening page.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

- You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
- To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
Another possibility is to use this setting, that is usually more reliable.
- Firefox/Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
Have done everything you mentioned. I do not/did not have "Permanent Private Browsing mode" selected. I do/did have "Use custom settings for history" selected.
I did change to select "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
No change. With several tabs open, when I select to exit either from the File Menu or the Red X, FF6 closes immediately without asking if I want to close all tabs and without asking if I want to save tabs. Does same if closure is unexpected as in from Restart.
When I reopen FF6, only the default home page is displayed -- not even a Restore button.
Any other ideas?
