is there a way to find out what exactly has been viewed on a specific computer without being detected? i would like to view what my son is trying to hide, so private browsing and deleted history, i tried through cookies which usually works but it seems as though he deleted that too. is there a way to view this with out leaving a foot print of files being created and restored (tried that didn't work) Mozilla for pc... tried restoring previous history but that didn't work.

Seems like an important mission to me!

Well, there's no way in Firefox to do such a thing. But there is one other way to bring back THE DELETED FILES and that's to use a recovery program! Try to recover recent deleted files and then delete them again and also remove the recovery program so you will leave no traces.

However there are counter attacks to your plan that your son can use! First is to use private browsing that leaves no data! And one other is to use file shredders so the files wouldn't be recovered ever...

private browsing will never allow me to recover the files? wow that sucks. so there isn't a way to just get the deleted files like internet explorer did with the shared cookies, hmmm the only way to get it back is to restore the files, i tried that earlier but it didn't work. it looked like he deleted days of history which tipped my radar, i tried to restore one days session but it didn't work and if it did i certainly couldn't find the files which makes me worry that he may figure out that mom has been snooping through his computer.

Use Recovery Programs. Don't use restore function of Windows! That's a very risky thing to do if you want to be hidden.

If your son isn't using private browsing and also a file shredder (Which is low in possibility!) you can easily get back the deleted data.

You can also wait for an answer from a more experienced user. But I think this is all you can do.
