The little tab button will not open up a new tab. I can click it but no blank tab appears. I can only open new tabs by right clicking items/links and opening a new tab from that. I have tried re-downloading and upgrading but this doesn't seem to do anything about my problem.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
