Fire fox crashes and freezes if i use it too much (kind of a good thing). For example if i use stumble fire fox will start to slow down then freeze completely. Does anyone have a solution or should i just switch to chrome?

I am using windows XP pro and a pretty decent computer. All software is up to date and i do no have a virus. I have even tried to disable my add-ons and plug-ins but it did not make a difference. Does anyone have a solution or should i just switch to chrome?
