when I open my yahoo mail in Firefox, I am unable to do instant messaging, but I can instant message in IE

Over all my yahoo mail is kind of glitchy. The cursor appears at certain areas of the email so I have to move it all the way to the front of the line and move towards the end with the arrow key or end button. The other issue is I am unable to open Instant Messaging. I am able to open instant messaging if I open my yahoo mail through IE. It used to work just fine. this is a recent decelopment

Hi rickyoshiro,

This sounds like a known issue reported here:

There was a workaround posted, but I've not tested it myself. Here are the steps.

  1. Go into Yahoo Messenger Options - Change the Window in the dropdown to Tab and press OK.
  2. Then go back and switch it to small window and press OK.

Once the bug is officially resolved, you could try running a Nightly or Aurora build to use the fix early.
