Lots of trouble with "not responding", script errors, and delayed typing. Cleaned the laptop all over. Only worse.

The "not responding" issue has been a problem for a while, although not as bad as recently. The script errors just began a little more than a week ago and says something about an item I've been using for a while. The slow responding type is also a newer problem. Even on a faster, better machine this issue has been happening, so it's not just my machine. I used 3 different cleaners and virus detectors to clean and organize the stuff in my comp and it did absolutely nothing to help. Firefox has been getting worse and worse over the last year.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
