We have a problem with some Intel Mac users using Firefox 9/10 - the images appear 'ghosted' as if several copies have been overlaid, furthermore, when navigating to another page the images from the previous page also appear 'ghosted'.

So far we have only seen the problem with Intel Macs running OS 10.5 or 10.6 - we haven't tested 10.7

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Have just tried this but no change. It seems that the problem only exists on some Macs so there must be something installed that is interfering with FireFox. We have tried the site in Chrome, IE, Netscape, FireFox, Opera on both Macs and PCs but the only problem seems to be with Firefox 9/10. I have attached an image to show the problem.
