Add-ons that are hosted on the Mozilla site undergo a review process, for information about what is checked see https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/docs/policies/reviews

If the add-on has not yet undergone a full review it will indicate that the add-on is "experimental" or "preliminary reviewed"
