Everytime I open a new tab now, it is switching back to the original tab before I can write and I have to click on it several times to stay on the new window.

When I press Ctrl+n to open a new window it opens, but as soon as I try to write anything, it switches back to another open window. Even when I hover over the icon at the bottom of the screen and try and click on the new window that's open it, will go back to another open window and I have to do this several times before I can do anything on the new window that's open.

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

I've determined that it's Schockwave Flash that's causing this on my computer. As long as I disable that plugin, when I launch a new window, it doesn't revert to the original window.

But then, of course, I can't watch most videos online. C'mon Adobe and Mozilla. Get it together and fix this problem!
