firefox does not allow page re-directing for paypal payment
firefox does not allow page re-directing for paypal payment. How do I fix this problem. It occurs with several sites where it was not a previous problem. When I press "allow", I get returned to the very beginning of the order process.

Hello retech1982, be sure you have UNchecked the Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page, go from : Firefox button > options > options > Advanced > General > Accessibility > Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page [ ] > OK.
EDIT: Tools > Options > Advanced..... (in xp)
thank you

This box was already unchecked. What else could cause the problem?
When you press Allow, what is that for? If it's not a redirect warning (discussed in your earlier post) or a pop-up window, it might be a step added by one of your add-ons.
Do you want to try Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)
Any difference?
Can you attach a screenshot?

I was redirected to Paypal from ebay, but the Paypal page did not allow me to complete the transaction. There was a message on the left side that said I would complete the transaction here. On the upper right side of the page, there was a language select menu with one choice-English. The rest of the page was blank. I called ebay customer support and was told it was a browser problem. The rep said to use IE, and I did with no problems. I won't know if any possible solution fixes the problem until I order something else from ebay,, and that may not happen for months.
Thanks to ideato, but I have the same problem. The vendors I've noticed this with so far are: Daz3d, Renderosity, and just now CafePress.
My option of "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page" is and has been unchecked. This seems to be a new problem, possibly with the 23.0 update - and 23.0.1 didn't help.
If there's a beta or an alpha that solves this, I'd like to know about it.
Hi Trelligan, is the problem that Firefox requires your approval to redirect, or that part of the page is blank?
Firefox 23 has a new feature to block mixed content in pages. If you notice a "shield" icon appearing to the left of the URL in the address bar, check out this article: Mixed content blocking in Firefox
Nope, the shield never appeared.
I had the problem again with CafePress and Daz3d. Renderosity worked; I might have confused my vendors, but they can be taken off the list.
I tried to find a menu option to remove this 'feature'. I suppose it's in Advanced somewhere. It seems like a good idea, I just wanted to test...
Hi Trelligan, if there is no shield icon, then there is a not a mixed content issue. It must be some other issue. Have you tested in Firefox's Safe Mode? I really appreciate your (spookily timely) help. Yes, I did try safe mode once.
The problem with testing this problem is that I have to have something in the cart to buy, and if it works I've bought it.
I was hoping to find that someone else had already done the logic and experimenting part, and the solution was just 'out there'. I did get one response (from Daz3d) that said Firefox had been having a problem with PayPal on their site, but no details.
And as soon as I buy what I need using a credit card, as far as they're concerned the problem is done.
Hi Trelligan, you can try switching to Safe Mode the next time this problem occurs. Assuming you're not in a private window, Firefox should retain your cart and return you to the same page.
