Hi there,

I use the GAuth Firefox plugin for handling my 2 factor authentication on my mac. I noticed that just recently the plugin was removed from the marketplace.

Can someone tell me why? (was it due to a security problem?) The old link used to be : https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/gauth-authenticator/

Now when I visit that page I get a message that says : 'The app requested is not public.'

Hi,

This is a Google problem - they have purposefully removed the app.

Sorry about that!

Hi Curtis,

thanks very much for the reply - I don't suppose you have some more details about this, or their reasons for having the app removed? Any extra details you have or can point me to I'd greatly appreciate!

best regards, Robin.

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. Therefore, unfortunately I am unable to get any information on this.

Sorry about that!

No worries Curtis, I just thought maybe there was something logged about this. I'll keep this issue open until I track down the cause, hopefully it'll save someone else some hassle.
