How to move address bar (navigation bar) to title bar in Firefox 29?

What I'm trying to achieve is to have only one bar visible in Firefox. New Firefox interface is a waste of vertical screen space for me in its default configuration. Up to Firefox 28 I could drag and drop everything to title bar with additional adjustments in userChrome.css.

I tried to use https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ but it didn't work for me. I don't want older theme anyway, I just want the same amount of customization available.

Hi!

How can I move address bar to title bar without using Classic Theme Restorer (CTR)?

In my case, CTR often needs a lot of power - don't know why - and causes my notebook to become very hot.

Best, Dimi

PS: FF-guys, please fix this bug before making any 'improvements'!

Does this happen if there are so many tabs open that scroll buttons appear on the Tab bar?

Hi cor-el,

Classic Theme Restorer causes the power consumption after a while of using FF. It disappears after closing the window(s) causing the problem. But I could not figure out what exactly is causing it.

I almost never open so many tabs that scroll buttons appear.

Best, Dimi
