I have a website which was able to be accessed on v 29.0 however when I downloaded 29.0.1 this morning it failed to find the website and continued popping up the 404 Not Found message. When trying both different browsers and older versions we found it could be found, however it seems the new version is blocking it for some reason.

hello, Normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions:Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again:

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version)

  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back. For detailed instructions, see Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet.
