With the sidebar in place (2.5" wide) on my 19" screen, the remaining width does not accommodate most web pages. I have to bin the sidebar or move the bottom slider back and forth to see all of the web page detail.

Hi chrisjr68,

Thank you for your question, I understand that the width of the bookmark sidebar is a fixed size. You can adjust the size by clicking on the side of the pane.

If you have any other questions I am happy to help.

You can hide/close the sidebar via its close button or toggle the bookmarks sidebar via Ctrl+B.

You can also access the bookmarks in the drop-down list of the "Show your bookmarks" button on the Navigation Toolbar next to the star to bookmark the current tab.

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to restore some functionality that was lost with the arrival of the Australis style in Firefox 29.

  • You can check the settings of the CTR extension via its Options/Preferences button on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" page.
  • You can find extra toolbar buttons in the Customize palette (3-bar Firefox menu button > Customize) including a toolbar button to toggle the bookmarks sidebar.
