I currently use the old Firefox sync, and I need to upgrade to the new one because I have a new PC I need to syn to. However, when I try to sign in to Firefox to upgrade, it won't accept the password that I KNOW is correct, because it's the username and password that I'm using in the current sync. I read that sometimes passwords older than 2012 won't work now, so I asked Firefox to send me a reset email. Tried this multiple times, but emails never arrive (and they're not in spam folder). How can I fix this?! Also, tried to send in this question under the email that my account is associated with, but must activate question by clicking on email link, and that email never arrives either. what the heck?!

Hi Am1kraut, Sorry to hear that the password is not working. In the new sync you need to set up a new account. It can be the same email because the new sync is on a new server.

If you have any questions about this further, happy to help.
