Where are popup error messages logged so I can read them?

I get frequent popup error messages from Thunderbird (currently 24.6.0). They appear in a little box outside the program window. They disappear after about 2 seconds. I cannot always read the message in the time allotted. The messages do not appear in the error console.

Is there a log file that I can look into to find these messages?

I have a jpeg of one of the messages, but there doesn't appear to be any way to attach it to the question.
